Time to Retire (TimeToRetire.co.uk) is a UK retirement planning tool. For any privacy questions, contact us at hello@timetoretire.co.uk.
The planning tool runs entirely in your browser. Everything you enter — pension values, savings, income, family details, assumptions — is stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We have no server that receives, sees, or stores this information, and no way to access it even if we wanted to.
When you first open the tool, it verifies your purchase code with Keygen (our licensing provider) to confirm it's valid. This check sends only the purchase code itself — never your name, email, or anything you've entered into the tool. After that first check, your browser remembers you, and the tool works fully offline from then on.
Purchases are processed entirely by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), who act as merchant of record. When you buy Time to Retire, Paddle collects your payment details and email address under its own privacy policy — we don't see or store your card details at any point.
We do have access to a secure Paddle dashboard showing limited order information — your email address, order date, and purchase amount. We use this only to verify a purchase in connection with support requests or refunds, and never for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond identifying your order. We don't sell or share this information with any third party. Paddle may separately send you purchase confirmations, receipts, and update notifications related to your order. We don't use cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising scripts of any kind on the tool or this website. We don't know how you use the tool, what numbers you enter, or how often you open it.
We don't run marketing email campaigns. Any emails you receive relating to your purchase (receipts, download links, update notices) come from Paddle as part of processing your order.
Because we don't hold any personal or financial data on our own systems beyond the limited order information described above, there is generally very little for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf — the financial information you enter into the tool lives in your browser, under your control, and you can clear it at any time via your browser's settings. For any data Paddle holds on your purchase (such as your email or payment details), you can contact Paddle directly, or reach out to us and we'll help point you in the right direction.
If our data practices ever change — for example, if we introduce optional cloud sync in the future — we'll update this page and make it clear what's changed before any new data handling begins.
